The client was myself and Nicola, to become Mr. and Mrs. Jamieson! Our goal was to create a uniquely personal and immersive wedding experience that celebrated our shared love of music, design, and cherished local spots.
Inspired by our love of the song, September by Earth, Wind & Fire, our wedding day was a harmonious blend of music, design, and DIY creativity. As a couple of graphic designers, we treated our wedding as the ultimate passion project, meticulously crafting every detail to tell our story. We took a hands-on approach to the entire event, managing and executing a wide range of creative tasks.
This included the look and feel, where we designed and developed a full suite of materials, including a custom website, invitations, and on-the-day stationery. The design language was a playful nod to our favourite song lyrics, creating a cohesive and memorable theme. For the environmental and experiential design, we transformed the Bo'ness Town Hall into our own unique venue. We created a bespoke tiki-themed bar area and built a custom photo booth from scratch.
We also picked meaningful locations for our couple's shoot, including the historic Hippodrome cinema in Bo'ness and our favourite local chip shop, Corvi's.
The project was a true reflection of our personalities, combining our professional skills with our personal passions. From the initial concept to the final execution, every element was designed, built, or decorated by us, making it a truly unforgettable and deeply personal day.
